About WHRN Membership

The Workplace Health Research Network includes key collaborators from the Worksite Health Programs at CDC, a Coordinating Center at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC) and five collaborating centers: City University of New York/New York University (CUNY/NYU); Johns Hopkins University (JHU); University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC); University of Minnesota (UM); and the University of Washington (UW). The Coordinating Center also doubles as a Collaborating Center in the WHRN. The membership of the WHRN represents an interdisciplinary group of professionals with expertise in a broad range of disciplines. The members earned advanced degrees in economics, epidemiology, health behavior, marketing, medicine, nutrition, occupational health, public policy and management, and social psychology.

Additionally, the WHRN encourages faculty members, researchers, universities, nonprofit organizations, or community partners to join the network. Membership opportunities include becoming an affiliate member or partner.  Affiliate members and partners are individuals or organizations that have the expertise and ability to contribute to the mission and goals of the WHRN, ideally through participation in a WHRN working group or some other aspect of the research agenda.  A current member of the WHRN must sponsor the new member or partner.  Individuals or organizations with an interest in and capability to contribute to the mission and goals of the WHRN, ideally through participation in a WHRN working group, are invited to submit application form (below).
